Half Girl Red Sun - Original Hand Painted Art Print

The Half Girl series is a body of photographic works, printed and then hand-finished with acrylic paint, resulting in unique, one-off artworks. This series is an exploration into painting and mark-making over photographic prints.

Through washes of blues, greens, and yellows that loosely divide the image in two, the colours purposefully evoke natural elements such as oceans, hills, and the sun.

I'm drawn to the tactile nature of analogue processes, and to the space they allow for experimentation and unpredictability. My work opens a dialogue between humans and the environment, reflecting on our place within it.
